This year's Christmas Charity Luncheon hosted an open auction and lucky draw for the benefit of Sailability Hong Kong, the charity of choice for 2014.

Sailability Hong Kong was established to offer the opportunity to those with any type of disability to experience sailing. The organisation also provides bilingual sailing courses to anyone who is interested. Sailing is a sport activity that improves independence, self esteem and gain in self confidence. Most importantly it has been proven that in sailing, participants with a disability can compete with able bodied participants on a level playing field.

The guest speakers of the luncheon were:

  • Mr Mike Rawbone - Founder and Chair of Sailability Hong Kong
  • Mrs Kay Rawbone - Founder and Committee Member of Sailability Hong Kong
  • Mr Foo Yuen Wai  - Sailability Sailor and Winner of a Bronze Medal at the Asian Para Games 2014
  • Mr Albert Lam      - Sailability Sailor in the Asian Para Games 2014

The event was a success.  All proceeds collected from the auction and lucky draw together with the Swiss National Day raffle tickets sales will be donated to Sailability Hong Kong.

Thanks to all who supported the Christmas Charity Luncheon with sponsorships, valuable assistance and participation.
