It was a record-setting turnout for our May 18th Jass evening with 27 participants and the atmosphere was fantastic as all vied for a good showing. All the leading players were present to cement their rankings with more or less success.

This year the average turnout is at an all-time high if considering the time we started playing at the Pacific Club, with the average standing at 24 players which also happens to be the maximum number of participants allowed by the club. The Club has graciously turned a blind eye to our frequent spill overs which spares us the agony of turning people away.

As one may notice from the pictures, the game requires concentration. Our best players who are besides being skilful in their game, have a good memory and remember what has been played on all suits.

At the end of the evening the top three results were awarded with a bottle of wine as prize. The prize wine is arranged by the Pacific Club as part of the excellent service they provide for us.

It is clear from the pictures that the Jass evenings are a great opportunity to catch up with old and new friends, enjoy a few rounds of card playing and enjoy some great food to top it all up.
